Our Favorite Place
A view like this just makes me want breath in deep.
I love the cabin Jeff's Grandparents have; I took my first road trip with my then boyfriend (now husband) and his entire family (well chaperoned of course),our 'honeymoon' the summer after we were married, when Aly was just six weeks old and every year after. Its perfect, a little A frame 20 minutes from Yellowstone. A wonderful place to revisit memories and make new ones.
My little wildflowers.

Chama Train Trip
This was a fun little weekend trip my parents took us on. We rode the Cumbres Toltec Train: the longest narrow gauge train. If one is familiar with the Durango Train this is a remnant of that line. We enjoyed it more than I thought..I was afraid that the kids would get tired of sitting the whole time ...but no they let us move around, they have an open air observation car, and Aly's favorite spot believe it or not was outside in between the engine and the tourist car she sat there for an hour on the way back staring down at the tracks as we rode over them. We took the half trip to Osier where one stops and has an included meal at the station...not very good food, but its all part of the experience, right? The staff and docents on the train were really friendly and I believe the conductor made a point of chatting with every passenger at least once; he spoke to us several times,Something I'm not sure larger more touristy train would have.
